Tesla Megapack 3 Production Begins in Brookshire

Tesla began producing its next-generation Megapack 3 grid battery at its facility in Brookshire, Texas, on August 6. This new generation of energy storage technology could help utilities bring large-scale energy storage online faster.

According to Tesla, the Megapack 3 features larger 2.8-liter cells and a 78% reduction in thermal-system connection points. These improvements could help reduce the potential for leaks, lower maintenance demands, and streamline assembly.
