City of Brookshire Offices & Brookshire E.D.C. Will be Closed

Brookshire City Hall & Brookshire E.D.C. will be closed Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.

Do you know why we observe that day?
Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 as a gesture of conciliation by President Grover Cleveland during the Pullman Strike.

It's a day to acknowledge the contributions of men and women in all types of labor, from physical labor to those working in cubicles.
